MARINA.......

Marina beach.... The live wire of  the city Chennai. It certainly is a delightful experience to stroll the beach watching the sun rise from the horizon tearing the clouds and lighting up the city... A new dawn.... A new hope .. A new reason to Love,Laugh and Live..... So was a dawn I decided to take a stroll...

I parked my bike on one end of the beach and started to walk. The sun hadn't come yet.  I thought he also might have become lazy like me.. My thought were interrupted by a loud laugh followed by a chorus.. The were some elders relaxing and doing their bit of exercise suitable for their age... Coz laughing is a great stress buster...
An awesome way to start a day I thought

I almost made a 360 and was surprised by a  solid bark..... A handsome German Shepherd.. In a hurry making up with his master's foot steps he shared a friendly chat with his local and not so lucky siblings who  owned the whole marina....

I continued walking with my eyes on the horizon expecting the sun making his entry and ended up being hit by a kid. "sorry" he said and proceeded... It was then I noticed that I was walking through a skate ground . Every one had a skating shoe fitted to their legs and were floating on the ground. It was nice to see small kids enjoying their ride , the sweet success of being able to do that brought a smile on their face which was even nicer to watch...

I never repented on my decision to sacrifice my sleep and walk in my dreams... The day was yet to begin... Sun made his first peek.... It made me remember the Rajni dialogue..." Late aa vanthalum naan latest aa varuom da" coz the display of colours it brought with was amazing. He came up pretty fast and I did not loose my chance of capturing the moment. In one of the shots two birds crossed my frame. I wondered from where they came all of a sudden. I checked the surroundings and to my surprise not just one or two...hundreds  of them were there enjoying their early meal provided by a man christened Balaji. He was sprinkling rice  and these lovely creatures enjoying the feast. He said he has been doing this for past eight years... well thats really something.....

The birds took off in a group filling the frame of my camera and in the glowing sunlight they looked gorgeous.

I walked past that looking for a place to sit and pen down the events. I found myself comfortable on a pile of nets that the fishermen had left and had a look of the surroundings..
I saw a group of boys practicing their aerobic skills. They were continuously making themselves airborne. I was actually jealous seeing them do that.....

Ok pen down the things I thought.. After a while  I felt someone sprinkling sand on my shoes... A crab....peeking out of its hole, he was busy digging another... The colour of the sand provided it a perfect camouflage.. In the mean time a man came and sat to my right and started praying....

"Its good... " I thought. Rather than worshiping stones or calling out to someone whom we have never sen or whose very existence  is imaginary, it is better to worship an eternal truth, something that can be seen and felt.

It was getting late for office. I had to visit Santhome Church also before I head back. I rushed back to my bike and on the way saw two police men guarding the beach on horse back .I turned and proceeded further and I saw the statue of Mahathma Gandhi standing tall. "He is the one actually watching over Marina" I thought... and headed to Santhome.

Santhome is a famous church near marina. The silence a church provides is matchless. Moreover I had to take a fe pics for my collection.. I took them and rushed to office.

It is almost nine months since I came to Chennai and this is one morning I will never forget. Yes ...I could ve curled in my blanket for a little longer but I chose to wake up and walk the dreams and it paid off. So expecting to take a lesson from it and vowing to work hard and pursue my dreams its me Dheeraj signing off from my imaginary world and signing in to the reality... The Office....
